A little bit about myself
Hi, I'm Adam Klerkx, an 18-year-old student at the University of Applied Sciences, studying Mechanical Engineering. I graduated from the Metis Montessori Lyceum in 2023. I'm half Dutch and half French, fluent in both Dutch and English. My hobbies include engineering, programming, gaming, and creating 3D art. I'm proficient in Blender 3D and Fusion 360. Currently, I work as an assistant at my old high school, helping students with programming and engineering. On this website, you'll find some of the projects I've worked on and examples of my art.
Engineering projects
These are some of the hardware-related projects I embarked on.
Drone
This is a drone I created for a school project, focusing on the hardware aspect. Throughout this project, I gained valuable experience in creating 3D models using CAD software, specifically Fusion 360. My goal was to design the drone in a way that it could be 3D printed in a single run and easily assembled using only zip ties and rubber bands. Below, you'll find a detailed build description of the drone, along with a download link for the STL files.

This is also a project I made for school. With this, I built Ben Eater's 8-bit ALU module on a breadboard, and I also soldered his full computer on a PCB. I learned a ton doing this project. I am even working on a fully functioning version of the computer in Minecraft and maybe an even more advanced version.
(this is only the ALU, A & B registers, bus and the clock module these are the only parts i made on a bread board.)
printables
I enjoy making things on my 3D printer in my free time. I use Fusion 360 to create these projects. You can check out what I make on my printables page.
printablesfinishline system
I am currently working on a finish line project. It's a system to measure the time it takes for a line-following robot to complete a course. It's not finished yet, but here is a screenshot of the CAD model of the project.
Programming Projects
So, during my time at high school, I took a class called the CoderClass. In this class, I learned how to program using a variety of languages such as Python, JavaScript, C++, HTML, CSS, and many more. Additionally, I gained proficiency in using Blender and Unity. Here are a few projects I worked on:
This is a video about a Blender add-on I made in Python
In this video I explain how to use the add-on and how to download it. Here is the .zip-file for the add-on:

This is the Ben Eater computer, fully implemented in Python for use in the command line. With this, you can run, write, and assemble programs. Here is the GitHub repository:

When I learned how to use Blender 3D, I became obsessed with it and started creating many cool renders. in 2023 I made one render every week. You can find these weekly renders on my ArtStation and Reddit profiles. Here are some of my favorite renders:
